Simplified city detail. Footprints and building components follow archived OpenStreetMap geometry in the accepted Bangkok corridor. The wider VOC placement remains approximate.
Teal in the relief-evidence view means an explicit OSM height tag, which is community-mapped and not independently surveyed. Amber means a mapped floor count multiplied by an assumed 3 metres. Neither colour validates architecture or the inferred ground elevation.
Unknown heights retain the underlying appearance. Protected landmark sites have no generic block model. Component outlines, courtyards and openings are retained where supplied. Roofs use a geographically aligned crop of the archived EOX 2016 imagery. Facade colours, glass response and subdued floor bands are inferred rendering treatments; components share consistent appearance. Directional shadows follow the viewer’s illustrative light. These are simplified forms, not reconstructed facades, current photographs or measured shadows.
Copernicus GLO-30 is a surface model that includes structures. Ground is estimated from lower neighbouring samples; tagged building height is not added on top of a roof. At 61 screened building groups, the rendered surface locally removes duplicate structure or canopy elevation beneath the mapped footprints. Forty-nine groups use nearby mapped terrestrial roads and paths as elevation controls; twelve retain their prior estimate. The original DSM and building-height records remain unchanged. Corrected ground is inferred construction, shown in amber in the relief-evidence view, not measured bare-earth terrain. Ground correction provenance.
